Nathan Hale Homestead

The historic farmstead of the Hale family of Coventry, owned and maintained by Connecticut Landmarks, is open to the public during the warmer months seven afternoons a week for guided tours, special hands-on programs, and summer classes. Capt. Nathan Hale (1755-1776), the Martyr Spy of the American Revolution, and his nine brothers and sisters grew up and worked on this farm. The house (1776), outbuildings and stone walls as well as what remains of the original 400 acres of farm fields are important reminders of the way most Americans lived at the time of the nation's founding. Skungamaug River Golf Club

Although relatively short by today's standards, Skungamaug is a true test of golf in every sense of the word. Picturesque at every turn, every hole is unique. Selected as the fifth best public golf course in Connecticut by CT Golfer Magazine's Ed Crnic. In addition to the golf course, we are fortunate to have a complete practice facility with grass tees, a large putting green, and a private lesson tee for instruction with one of our PGA Professionals.
