Nauset Lighthouse image
Eastham, MA
(Range: 2 miles)
Nauset Light, the most well-known and photographed lighthouse on Cape Cod, is located within the boundaries of the Cape Cod National Seashore. It is an important part of Eastham's cultural and maritime history. In 1993 a group of citizens in Eastham formed the Nauset Light Preservation Society (NLPS), a non-profit volunteer organization whose original mission was to rescue the lighthouse. Through the successful efforts of the NLPS the Nauset Lighthouse was moved approximately 300 feet back from the edge of a sixty-foot high eroding cliff in 1996. Though no longer under the auspices of the United States Coast Guard, Nauset Light serves as a private aid to navigation used by the fishing fleets and small recreational boaters who navigate close to the shore. (Curated content from www.nausetlight.org)

Multiple sets of tees provide 18 different looks at deceptively demanding greens that are among the most interesting on the Cape. And when the wind shifts with the changing tide, the course has even more looks, requiring challenging shot-making decisions. Dennis Pines is a par seventy-two, seven thousand-yard championship golf course. It is situated on 170 acres of pine forest land in the Village of East Dennis. Designed by Henry C. Mitchell and opened for play in 1966, Dennis Pines has long been noted as one of the toughest layouts on Cape Cod. Tree lined corridors place a great premium on accuracy rather than distance. Water comes into play on four holes, and the twelfth hole is recognized as one of the most difficult par fives anywhere. (Curated content from www.dennisgolf.com)
