In 2007, the O’Connor’s discovered the property in Foster RI and after much research deemed the gravelly soils, warm days, and cool nights to be ideal for winemaking. Over the next ten years Steven, Sheri and their two sons (Nicholas & Kyle, for whom the vineyard in named after) planted grapes and constructed the current winery on the property, and in 2012 opened Nickle Creek Vineyard.
